It is perfectly safe for your pets to be on your lawn after our fertilizer products have been applied. However, we do recommend storing your fertilizer aways from pets and children, since the ingestion of any non-food item can cause gastrointestinal issues.

For maximum effectiveness in weed suppression, corn gluten meal should be applied in the early spring, just prior to weed seed germination. This will occur when soil temperatures reach approximately 50° F (10° C) but may vary depending on your local climate. It also best to apply prior to a rain event or water in after application. For enhanced weed suppression, corn gluten meal can also be applied in the fall in addition to spring applications.
