Slow-Release Nitrogen Fertilizer with added Iron

Suståne® 5•2•4+Fe granular
Description

Suståne 5-2-4+Fe is the original Suståne formula first created in 1988.  As this was the first Suståne product available on the market it soon became the standard natural based fertilizer evaluated by numerous universities.  Michigan State University, Cornell, University of Rhode Island were three of the first research facilities to discover that Suståne 5-2-4+Fe was highly suppressive of common diseases.  5-2-4+Fe is derived from biologically stable compost plus, ammonuim sulfate, methylene urea, natural potash, and ferrous sulfate.

Professional Grade

Suståne Natural Fertlizer is backed by over 30 years of independent applied research on diverse crops and ecosystems. Unmatched by any other organic fertilizer manufacturer, such research is the foundation for developing products that deliver value under a wide variety of growing conditions. The superior performance of Suståne's products is recognized by growers from around the world.

Benefits of 5•2•4+Fe
  • Adds approximately 5% humates by volume
  • Increases the nutrient and water holding capacity of the soil
  • Strengthens plants tolerance of hot, dry conditions
  • Improves buffering against changes in soil pH
  • Increases soil porosity and stability for greater root development and water holding capacity
  • Suitable for arid and saline soils, lowers transportation and application costs.
  • Includes extra iron to enhance greening and improve establishment in degraded soils.
  • Pathogen and weed free, no blood meal products.
  • Aerobic composting eliminates animal and rodent attraction to application site.
  • Contains the naturally occurring beneficial bacteria and fungi that are necessary to begin nutrient life cycle in poor soil.
  • Manufactured by Suståne in the USA at an EPA permitted facility.
  • Allowed for export to over 60 countries world wide.
  • Balanced fertility and slowly available nutrients minimize weed growth.

Professional landscapers have increasingly turned to Suståne 5-2-4+Fe for use on high maintenance turf and landscaped environments. While synthetic fertilizers supply plant growth nutrients, they do not supply the organic matter required to maintain quality growth. Using fully composted natural fertilizers increases the levels of beneficial microbial activity, which in turn convert nutrients into plant available forms.
