Garden Beds
Broadcast and incorporate 6 to 12 lb. per cubic yard of soil up to the date of planting. Side dress crops during the growing season, gently raking in granules to assure good soil contact. Apply monthly using 1 to 2 cups per 100 ft2 of growing space.
Potting and Container Mix Soils
8-2-4 is recommended for growing vegetables, fruits, and flowers in all types of potting mixes. Incorporate up to the day of planting based on plant need, watering regime and pottin mix recipe. Use 6 lb. (low rate) 10 lb. (medium rate), or 15 lb. per cubic yard (high rate). Top dress every 3 to 6 weeks to encourage continual growth. See Suståne Greenhouse and Nursery brochure for details.
Fertilizer Maintenance for Large Trees
Once trees have become well established, apply Suståne into holes punched into the ground within tree crown drip line. Once the tree has developed a 4-6 inch diameter, increase application rate to 0.75 lb. of Suståne per inch of tree trunk diameter.
Preplant - Broadcast and Incorporate into the top 4 in. (10 cm) of soil
